We are very excited to have Magisterra Soloists performing at the recital this Saturday, Oct. 14th at 10:30.  The group includes some of our teachers - Jordan Clayton, Mikela Witjes, Nic Carlucci, and Jeff Komar.

Our Senior Orchestra will be playing a Vivaldi Concerto for Strings and 3 movements of Haydn Symphony No.60 all with members of London Symphonia. This is a project initiated by Joe Lanza and London Symphonia, and we are grateful for their assistance in presenting this concert. We will also hear our Intermediate and Junior Orchestras on this concert as well. The concert will be in the Banting Auditorium at 11:00 a.m. Please watch the website for further details.

Senior Violins and Senior orchestra playing a fundraiser concert for FCTE with Mark Payne, Jesse Grandmont, Michael Vanhevel and Leah Grandmont titled THREE OF A KIND 2: EVEN THREE'ER. "The Crooner, The Fiddler and The Piano-man are back in action with their signature brand of Foot-Stromping and Finger-Snapping music, and of course their "make it up as they go" Side-Splitting Antics!" FCTE families can buy tickets on Saturday mornings from Ellen for $20 for adults and $15 for students.

Eric Paetkau, Conductor | Scott St. John, Violin Soloist

The centrepiece of London Symphonia’s season opening concert is Gustav Holst’s magnificent work, The Planets. The program begins with A Pale Blue Dot, an ode to the Earth by Carl Sagan with music by Vangelis, re-orchestrated by Scott Good. London favourite Scott St. John then joins the orchestra for the colourful and evocative Violin Concerto by Erich Korngold, before The Planets completes this celestial journey.

The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada will curate images to be projected during The Planets.
