Introduction

This page has some information about FCSS’s 2025-2026 school year program. Registration deadline for participation in our first class on DATE is DATE AND TIME.

We will send you your class assignment details along with your tuition invoice and how to make your payment by no later than DATE.

2025-2026 program information

Another school year is just around the corner, and we are excited to share our online registration form and our class dates with you for our 2025-2026 school year with Forest City School for Strings! All classes will be held at LOCATION TBD.

In our continued effort to grow with and meet the needs of our amazing group of students, we are proud to share with you our "slightly modified" class structure for the coming year! Please read below for details, dates, and class options!

  • TERM ONE: 11 Saturdays

  • Sep 21, 28

  • Oct 5, 19, 26

  • Nov 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

  • Dec 7 (final concert)

  • TERM TWO: 14 Saturdays

  • Jan 11, 18, 25

  • Feb 1, 8, 22

  • Mar 1, 22, 29

  • Apr 5, 12, 26

  • May 3, 10 (final concert)

Class Times and Tuition

Twinkle-Late Book 1 (RCM Prep-Level 1): 9:30-10:30 = One Hour Repertoire and Musicianship Class

  • Tuition: $500

Intermediate Program (Book 2, RCM 2 +): 9:30-12:00 = One Hour Repertoire and Musicianship Class + break + One Hour Junior/Intermediate Orchestra

  • Tuition: $850

*Optional* Enriched Intermediate Program PLUS Chamber Music: = One Hour Chamber music + One Hour Repertoire Class + break + One Hour Intermediate Orchestra

  • Tuition: $1,250 

Senior Violin/Viola/Cello Program: 8:30-12:00 = One Hour Chamber music + One Hour Repertoire Class + break + One Hour Senior Orchestra

  • Tuition: $1,250

Harp Program: will remain the same as previous years - 9:00-10:30. 

  • Tuition: $675

Intermediate Chamber Music Announcement

FCSS is thrilled to offer chamber music as an optional elective to intermediate students, RCM levels 5+! 

Please note the following:

1. FCSS cannot guarantee this elective to all students who apply, but will make every effort possible to accommodate chamber music requests as we are able. Coaches and spaces are limited, so we are offering this on a "First Come, First Serve" basis. 

2. All groups must be formed and/or approved by the FCSS Music Director. Groups should be formed of students of a similar playing level.

3. Please await group assignment confirmation before submitting your tuition payment (for intermediate students applying to chamber music only). 


Performance Classes

Performance Classes: Thanks to the fundraising efforts of our board and the generous support of several donors, FCSS is proud to offer its highly popular performance class series in 2025-2026. We will offer SOME solo performance classes this year, which will be 2 hours in length and for all levels. Performance Class Dates are TBA!

Guest Attendance

Those wishing to visit the program are welcome but must announce their presence in advance by confirming their visit with Ellen Yamanaka.  No guest visits on our first day (DATE).
